What is Yoga?
Yoga is an ancient practice that originated in India. It is designed to help people center and reconnect to their true selves. Though most people think of yoga in terms of the poses, it is actually a mental, physical and spiritual discipline designed to harmonize the body and the mind.
Yoga is truly based in Pranayama – a series of breathing techniques. Breath is considered the essence of the life force. The practice of yoga relieves mental stress and promotes clarity. The Asanas (poses) help stretch and invigorate the body, renewing energy and building strength.
Together these two components (of eight) components offer health, happiness and peace of mind.

How do Private Lessons Work?
You work with an instructor one on one. If you’ve ever had a personal trainer at a gym, the relationship is quite similar. The two of you will discuss your goals and your instructor will guide you through poses and routines to help meet your objectives.
